Morph-it! — the Italian lexicon

The inflection data that powers this service's vocabulary enforcement — the full set of conjugated and declined forms for every Italian word in the word bank — comes from the Morph-it! lexicon:

Zanchetta, E. & Baroni, M. (2005). “Morph-it! A free corpus-based morphological resource for the Italian language”. University of Bologna.

Morph-it! is licensed under CC BY-SA. The inflection data is used here with this attribution and under the same licence — the derived dataset served to users of this service (the resolved word forms used for vocabulary enforcement) is likewise made available under CC BY-SA.

Where the data appears

The lexicon powers the “how it works” guarantee: when the validator checks that an AI reply only uses forms of words you know, it checks against Morph-it!'s inflection tables. The word bank search and the tap-to-look-up cards resolve words through the same data.
